Haji Sheikh Muhammad Saeed
Founder · Mehta Group
Haji Sheikh Muhammad Saeed founded Mehta Group in 1962 with a simple conviction: that Pakistan's growing construction, agriculture and transport industries deserved a tyre supplier they could trust without question. Starting from a modest storefront in Lahore, he built relationships with manufacturers and customers alike on a foundation of straightforward dealing and product knowledge earned through hands-on experience.
Under his direction, the business grew steadily rather than quickly — a deliberate approach that prioritized long-term relationships over short-term gain. His early decision to specialize in Off-the-Road and Special Trailer Angle tyres, categories that demanded deeper technical understanding than standard passenger tyres, set Mehta Group apart from general tyre shops of the era.
By the late 1980s, his reputation for reliability had opened doors to partnerships with major international manufacturers, laying the groundwork for what would become the company's long-standing relationship with Goodyear and, later, its authorized dealership with General Tyre.
Today, the values he instilled — integrity, technical rigor, and treating every customer relationship as a long-term one — continue to guide how Mehta Group operates, more than sixty years after the company's founding.
“A business built on trust outlasts one built on speed.”
